1.1 Making the Right Choice
Kenneth knew Eileen while studying in university in 1988. Eileen was the first girl Kenneth knew on the first day of orientation.
It was after graduation that Kenneth started to ask Eileen out for date. Their working place then was one train station apart, which made lunching together very convenient. Subsequently, they started to go out to play squash game together followed by dinner.
1.2 Going On to Courtship
After a while, Kenneth popped that Question to Eileen using a pop-out card during one of their dates along the Singapore River. Kenneth could remember that the card has a picture of a Chinese temple and Kenneth wrote, 'I do not want to be a monk anymore'. Obviously Eileen flushed when she saw the card and kept silent for the remaining evening of their date. Kenneth guessed it was a 'YES' then.
A romantic thing that Kenneth did for Eileen was he would send her 14 self-made cards with poems from 1st February to 14th February daily every year.
1.3 Registration of Marriage
On 23 March 1995, Kenneth and Eileen registered their marriage in order to secure their apartment. It was a very simple ceremony at the Registry of Marriage on a weekday morning.
After the ceremony, we invited our parents and a few close friends for lunch at a nearby restaurant.

1.5 Wedding PlansThe wedding day is a once in a lifetime event and we wanted to make it as memorable as possible for us as well as our families. Of course, we plan to do it within our budget bearing in mind that we do not want to enter our marriage in debts.
1.6 Wedding CeremonySome of the thoughts we had were garden wedding, beach wedding, traditional wedding, church wedding, honeymoon wedding, wedding luncheon, zoo wedding and wedding banquet. We finally settled for Church and traditional Chinese wedding.
1.7 Wedding Gown
Every woman wears the wedding gown only once in her lifetime. As such, we place a big portion of our budget in searching for the wedding gown best suited for Eileen.
1.8 Wedding PackageWe signed up with a wedding package that includes costumes for bride and groom, photography, car decoration, bride make-up and bouquet.

1.13 Wedding SongHere are the lyrics to the song:
IF YOU COULD SEE WHAT I SEE
All of my life, I have dreamt
That somehow Love would find me
Now I can't believe you're standing here
If beauty is all in the eye
Of the beholder then I
Wish you could see
The love for you that lives in me.
Chorus
And you would know you have my heart
If you could see what I see
That a treasure's what you are
If you could see what I see
Created to be, the only one for me
If you could see what I see
I know there are days when you feel
So much less than ideal
Wondering what I see in you
Its all of the Light and the Grace
Your belief in me drives me to say
That I promise you, a faithful Love forever true
Chorus
And you would know you have my heart
If you could see what I see
That a treasure's what you are
If you could see what I see
Created to be, the only one for me
If you could see that I'm standing here
Why I fall down to my knees
And my Love for you will be worthy of the One
Who gave his life so our Love could be
If beauty is all in the eye of the beholder
Then I am beholding true beauty
